Declaration on accessibility

EVISTRA STS GmbH endeavours to design its website in accordance with the legal requirements for accessibility. The following regulations apply to us in particular:

• Bavarian Act on Equality, Integration and Participation of People with Disabilities (BayBGG)
• Bavarian Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BayBITV)

Scope of application

Status of compatibility with the requirements

This website is currently partially compatible with the requirements of the BayBITV. The content listed below is not yet fully accessible.

To improve accessibility, JavaScript-based additions are used in some places to create labels, semantic structures and focus behaviour in accordance with accessibility requirements (e.g. WCAG 2.1 Level AA).

This is particularly necessary because parts of the web software used (e.g. standardised form elements and page design with the Divi theme in WordPress) do not output certain content completely barrier-free in static HTML. However, to ensure accessibility, technically necessary adjustments are made using JavaScript. These relate exclusively to semantic improvements (e.g. linking labels to form fields) and do not affect the functionality, security or data protection of the website.

All essential functions remain fully accessible for keyboard and screen reader users.

Note: If JavaScript is deactivated in the browser, some accessible functions - especially for semantic structuring and keyboard navigation - may not be available or only available to a limited extent. In this case, complete accessibility of the website cannot be guaranteed.

Disproportionate burden

The following content is currently not made available in an accessible format, as its accessible implementation would represent a disproportionate burden for us within the meaning of Art. 5 of Directive (EU) 2016/2102:

• PDF documents, in particular forms or information sheets that were created before 23 September 2018
• Embedded content from external providers (e.g. Google Maps)
• Individual components of third-party plugins (e.g. lightbox, slider) whose complete accessibility cannot be technically achieved without considerable effort
• Individual modules on this website, in particular interactive tabs in the [e.g. ‘Team’ or ‘Locations’] section, do not currently fully fulfil the requirements for accessible web content in accordance with WCAG 2.1 and BITV 2.0. In detail, there may be incorrect ARIA attributes (e.g. aria-selected) or missing aria-labelledby assignments. These restrictions currently affect the correct use of screen readers. Reason: The components in question are generated dynamically by a third-party plugin (Divi Supreme Module). A completely barrier-free implementation is currently not technically possible. We are actively working on a barrier-free solution and plan to re-implement the components barrier-free as part of a future revision.

Exceptions to the scope of application of the accessibility regulations

• A PDF document that is integrated via an external provider module using a script. It is displayed and accessed via an external source over which we have no direct influence.
• In some areas, the embedded script module from the same provider creates a duplicate link to the same destination (e.g. linked image + linked headline). We are in contact with the provider to ensure the accessibility of this functionality in the future.

Barrier-free alternatives

• We can also provide content from non-accessible PDF documents in HTML or text form on request
• All important images are provided with alternative texts
• For complex content or technical presentations, we offer individual assistance by e-mail, telephone or via our contact form
• The Matomo settings popup integrated on some pages is currently not fully keyboard accessible. An accessible alternative for configuring the Privacy settings is available on our data protection page.

Evaluation method

The accessibility of our website was checked using a combination of automated and manual procedures. The following methods and tools were used:

• Automated tests with the tool WAVE as well as the WordPress plugin „Accessibility Checker“ by Equalize Digital
• Manual checks with keyboard navigation and screen reader
• Self-assessment through editorial and technical review of central page areas
